I haven’t realize we have so many “gun songs” till the moment I actually pay attention to it
And… does this one count?
[…] Mama, just killed a man Put a gun against his head Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead
[…]
@Jerzees I agree, there is a lot of music that reference firearms- especially in American culture. No doubt in my mind the 2nd Amendment, in part, is what makes America the greatest country on this earth.
P.S. yes, the Queen song counts to be included on the list.
P.S.S- thank you to all that have replied thus far! It would be naive to consider the list complete. I know I’ll continue to add to the list as I remember & hear other songs.
Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner ~ Warren Zevon
Send Lawyers Guns and Money - Warren Zevon
Veracruz - Warren Zevon
(Listened to them in Africa … the Congo and Kenya, and Central America back in the 80s, so they still stick in my mind)
The Warrior - Patty Smyth
Boot Hill - Stevie Ray Vaughn
Bad Bad Leroy Brown - Jim Croce
Annie Get Your Gun - Squeeze
The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace
Another One Bites the Dust - Queen
Bad Company - Bad Company
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Too many already listed Lynyrd Skynyrd… Mr. Saturday Night Special and Gimme Three Steps.
Yes… mostly older stuff.
I can even look back into the 60s but running out of time for the moment.
