GOA FOIA Shows NICS Being Used to Monitor Gun Owners in California

’ Information obtained during an FBI background check when buying a gun is supposed to be deleted after 24 hours, but when a NICS monitoring request is approved, the FBI doesn’t delete the information and passes it onto the ATF. The people the ATF is monitoring are not prohibited from owning firearms’.

NOTHING IS DELETED once obtained (ILLEGALLY) By our ‘STAZI’ ALPHABITS!

ABOLISH THE ATF !

Yep, call me a paranoid conspiracy nut, but I have NEVER believed that any of it was “deleted.” No one has any way to verify where backups of those databases end up. Maybe it’s really deleted off some main NICS server, but I guarantee you that server gets backups of backups, and that data is stored by the people who like to abuse such information.

Doesn’t make any sense does it? Unless you LOOK @ the reasoning for the
‘INFORMATION GATHERING’. My Opinion here is Law Enforcement should be
utilized when a Real Crime is committed. Playing ‘Svengali’ trying to prevent crime
only leads to what we have today. EVERYBODY is GUILTY till proven Innocent
these days,'Why are you buying that/Those Gun(s)? NOYFB! (None of your
)
I didn’t use the term ‘Stazi’ lightly earlier—When INNOCENT/Law Abiding folk’s are under suspicion (for no other reason than we are buying a Firearm is SH!T STUPID, CRIMINAL and tramples of RIGHT to KEEP and BEAR ARMS!).
This has to stop.

Tyrants, petty or otherwise, look at legal gun owners as the enemy.

Say What, No Way. The Federal Government collecting personal data it shouldn’t collect, storing information it isn’t supposed to store, giving access to the data to people that shouldn’t have access, for the purpose of targeting innocent American citizens that shouldn’t be targeted because they are innocent?
I just can’t believe it, how could this be?

While I understand that there’s “no gun registry” officially, I’ve filled out plenty of paperwork to buy my guns. I have no doubt that information is stored somewhere.

I’ve been finger printed and photographed for my CCW permit, and again when I purchased my suppressors
. THAT information is on a permanent file somewhere for certain!!!

Surely would like to approach ATF and ask if they also use the system to monitor California felony gang members to see if they are violating state law with their black market gun purchases. They don’t seem to think that gangs aren’t as DANGEROUS as law-abiding citizens. :face_with_monocle:

1st, they never get rid of anything or any information. Never will. They know every text, email and phone conversation. They’re part of your permanent record. To believe for one minute they delete or discard any information is fallacy. They track your credit card purchases, your car tells them where you go, your phone tells them where you’ve been, I’m sure what you’ve said, and that being said I’m sure they know more about you than your closest friends.
2nd, they need the gangs in CA, Chicago, New York and elsewhere to drive up the statistics about gun abuse. That’s why you’ll get 5 yrs for displaying a firearm to protect yourself, they get charged for firearms violations and get released same day no bail. Repeat the offense over and over, and in a few years they get arrested and the news reports they have a rap sheet with 20 crimes and they’re still the “victim.” If you committed any of those crimes you’d be in the slammer for a long time.
I guarantee that the second you went online or to YouTube to just research anything firearms related you went on a list. When you purchased anything firearms related you’re now on watch list, and everything associated with it is being shared with numerous agencies. Get used to it, being here right now has these agencies flagging you for something.

NO! Why would I want to be SCARED about what folk’s collect,
how they collect it, why they collect it?
The FEDERAL .gov already has EVERYTHING I DID, When I DID IT
(Prolly WHY I did it!) Possibly BEFORE I dood it!
I DON’T CARE! Not worried about it. I heard you just ask why?
Because Donald J Trump is our PRESIDENT.
Too simplistic? Too Trusting? (In one man?) No again.
This would be scary, pants wetting bad if ‘He who will not be named wasn’t in the big chair’.
Lord knows who was ruining the Country the last (4) years—Now THAT’S Scary stuff.
China is data mining us 24/7 and God knows who else (Meta, Microsoft, Tic Toc)
Any secrets we had are prolly long gone
