In the context of the LGBTQ+ venue I would agree. I do not tolerate the rhetoric espoused by that particular demographic. I choose not to listen to their issues, as they are non-issues to me. I do not watch their programs nor do I engage in their community unless it is necessary. In that necessary department, if they present as a man, I address them as Sir, if they present as a female, I address them as Ma’am. Yet, I refuse to play the rabbit hole game of “Did you assume my gender?”,… Yes, based upon the size of your Adams apple, I assumed you’re male,… Sir!
I have friends and relatives who are Gay and Lesbian and I have gotten into the LGBTQ conversation with them and they surprisingly disagree with it too. They question what additional rights do the “Trans Community” need or deserve beyond being a human American Citizen,… and they placate that they do not need anything additional. Especially when there are other communities and demographics that have been overlooked for decades, if not centuries, and it is still done today in 2025. It disgusts many of them and they state that it is just white liberals who want to be considered a “Minority” for some reason and bolster money to put to new organizations and “Rights Groups”.
They (Gay and Lesbian Friends & Family) state that the money garnered will be ill spent and used as a cash cow for the personal enjoyment of a few, while many who believe that it will help, will be left by the way-side searching for a new bottle of blue hair dye, a pink “Muff Hat” and a can of Whiskas cat food and a dog collar. I think it is a joke, unfortunately it has a $100’s of millions, possibly Billions of dollars worth of a punch line. The real victims are the American tax payer who has been force fed this garbage with lawsuits for discrimination held to their heads.
So, yes,… the terms “Tolerance” and “Inclusion”, along with “Hermetic” and “Intersectionality” have all become the Buzz Words of this movement. I wish it would move along into the annals of history and we can get back to the basic fundamentals as we rebuild what was nearly destroyed, with fuzzy bunny ears. If someone wants to be a 40 year old virgin, dress in a couch pattern Kimono and sing “I’m an Oscar-Meyer Wiener” (Thank you, Demolition Man), do so in the comfort of one’s own personal mental affect. Do not ask society to play along with you, they are no longer biting. Hopefully, those who have been duped and damaged can find peace in the re-building process. As for the rest of us, we lead by example. Be kind, respect one another, move forward with honor and be an individual of your word, again,… Back to basics. Be safe and be well, everyone!
