I’ve always been mindful of the potential for this. I’ve seen folk demonized by their posts across social media. Prosecutors pull emails & text messages. So, I’m honest on this forum to a point… Some topics though, it is what it is.
Discretion always, but I stand by my words. Too much posturing for public perception & way too many apologies being thrown around nowadays.

My mom drummed into my head from an early age, something that her dad taught his kids- YOUR TONGUE CAN CUT YOUR THROAT. I’ve found it to be truth…
I believe that politically correct speech has always been around, at least as long as politics. It has changed over the millennia -what hasn’t?- but it has always been around.
There have always been societies where criticizing those in political power is a dangerous thing to do. So, politically correct is watching how you say things about those in power. In more modern times the politicians had to watch what they said so as not to offend the voters. I remember when “ghetto” was replaced with “inner city”, and “juvenile delinquent” became “troubled youth”.
I think a better description of the problem today would be “socially correct” speech.. It has far less to do with politics and everything to do with every identity group playing the victim.
Well said, @David38.
P365,
I am the tech person you say you are in “life” as well. Most of us here are not trying to be 007 but there are very simple ways to prevent becoming harvested for profiling if you find yourself in court over a 2A shooting. Frankly I am making a mistake typing this post, but I am going to do so in order that it might help to protect others participating here. I suggest using a quality VPN run by knowledgeable privacy advocates that know their stuff in their infra structure (I combine with TOR but its over the top for most here). I setup a virtual machine running linux that I only run/use while I connect to this exact account, no exceptions. If you check my forum account on this post I am currently sitting in Switzerland on a MAC using Safari for my browser. Except none of that is true. The next session here I may be on a linux machine in another country using a different browser. The thing is we simply setup an account here independent of any REAL account you may decide to have with USCCA if you are an actual member. No cross contamination - ever. Its OK to tell me I am wearing a tin foil hat if that makes you feel better. Its just so easy to take these steps and never have to look over your shoulder. The liberating thing is that I can type what I really want to as we all share about 2A stuff. Dawn has sent me helpful PM reminders to be careful what I type to keep me out of trouble just in case. I appreciate those concerns but I have already mitigated them as described above in the post. Its fun to be here but not if I can’t communicate what I think for fear of being in a courtroom some day. My way I don’t have to be overly concerned. Something for others to consider. I don’t give out private computer security services in PM’s. There are great forums to learn these basic if you want to set this up. Trying to help here.
BTW - my virtual machine and all session data “explodes” when I close it down so there is no trail on my actual devices used.
Based on my job, I will always strongly advise on using a VPN. Personally, I use expressvpn because of the speed, quality, protection, and it works to access all netflix movies in different countries.
Ok guys – @AK1763, @EDC_always, @P365 – can you discuss a VPN in easy to understand English for those here who are not so technologically inclined?
@Dawn
Does easy to understand English exist?
Not super-duper technical words?
I think what Dawn means is, try to explain it as if you were talking to someone’s grandmother who is not computer literate.
So you need VPN, whenever your Grandma experiences this:

Thanks! That’s the type of description that will help everyone who isn’t a tech guru.
I don’t care. If someone wants to see my posts, go ahead
