Flaggets got a thread shut down?

Can’t blame them for those recent flags. I was pretty crude on those. Gotta admit.

Exactly! I would love to be a moderator, apparently you get paid to do nothing.
The extra money would recoup the increase coming on my premium

Non members don’t hold the reins.

I’m not sure that can be confirmed or denied.
Whole threads suddenly being shut down, just as the 2025 resist movement is on the rise?
Seems like a mass flagger is out there and USCCA is acting like the Uvalde police department! Just sayin’.

I think we all recognize that forum regulars and members regularly violate the forum rules flagrantly and this often results in threads being shut down.

It seems to me like a lot of people just don’t want to follow the forum rules, get used to the rules not being enforced, and then are unhappy when they are enforced.

I get that inconsistent enforcement can be annoying, but the things, moderators on almost all forums don’t go looking for violations to hit people with…they respond to reports or flags. So the best way to avoid suddenly getting hit for violations when someone shows up to flag…is to just stay within the rules all along

What seriously needs to be implemented is a members only adult community. Which is what I signed up for in beginning.
Really thought we were all of the same frame of mind…PRO 2A. Furthermore we, as adult gun enthusiast, were never offended.
The flagging on the part of an immature individual, is just that.
You could put all of us non flagging members in a room and none of us is going to be offended. We’ve learned to rub some dirt on it and move on. If I felt completely offended, I would leave, but I wouldn’t make all the others leave because my feelings were hurt!

Remember, what gets hosted on a forum is about more than the individual you are replying directly to. On a public forum, anybody can see it. Even if you do a “member’s only” section, that’s still 800,000+ people who can see it, as well as anyone they share it with or sees their screen.

What is posted, and what the host company chooses to allow to stay posted, does reflect on both the company and the membership/group of people as a whole.

Additionally, the language used, biases stated or implied or even perceived, contribute to the general feeling of belonging, or not, and contribute to the culture as a whole.

Consider if a “troll” or a person who was coming in disguise to look for “dirt” on a group of people were to “infiltrate” for example and take posts out of context…maybe what person A says to person B is not taken as offensive or whatever by person B but when outside comes and sees it…it paints a poor picture.

Think big, think chess not checkers, there is more to it than if it were a private text between strictly two people

This site uses the Discourse software. I looked at the Javascript. It’s possible that the default “Multiple flag actions” are being used if no moderator is available or their response does not occur fast enough. From the Discourse admin guide…

She held things in check w/o mass punishment.

To be honest I rarely see the removed posts because I have “ignored” several flagrant violators.

Cost accounting at its worst. B4 my son lost his job, the company wanted him to work basically two positions. He told them no and was fired. Companies have shifted their responsibilities of ensuring there is work to the employees to go out and find work or make up busy work to appear as if they are working.

I constantly got into trouble because I kept my backlog of work done 2 or 3 days ahead. That way I could take it easy and if something unexpected happened I wasn’t in a bind. Sadly management didn’t see it that way and turned an excellent worker into a didn’t care much worker.

Something I’ve often heard in my life: “Slow down, you’re making us look bad”

Ah but that would be from your fellow workers. This was from management.

Management for me (In Security anyway WAS THE PROBLEM)
Not only were there unreasonable demands put on a Guard
there wasn’t a lick of Common Sense anymore. The INVENTION of
Woke/Progressive ideology came into play and Corporations
EMBRACED it fully. Vax’s, Anti-Social distancing, Gender dysphoria
over took Safety and Common Sense. Let the Criminal STEAL!
Instantly I had a problem with that :racehorse: :poop:
When Movie folk’s wanted protection but didn’t want the look of being
Protected anymore that is dangerous not only for them but the Security element.
You want the ILLUSION of being protected? Get a Dog.

I started watch a movie on Max last night. It was a combination of Sword in the Stone, Braveheart and Caesar. It started off ok but then turned into this woke piece of garbage. A woman assassin killing 8-12 men at a time then playing mommy with child Caesar. I think the people starring in it did so to virtue signal.

PS…my point management can pluck up even a fairytale.

My ‘House Guest’ is leaving for Texas tomorrow
(The Brother who got burned out of his LA home).
He took the Security job of another friend of mine offered him
the other night. He said he needed more distance from California.
(I don’t blame him) Our conversations about Hollywood clued me in
on how bad it’s gotten. I had no idea you can make MORE money making
a film then STREAM it instead of he PAYOLA of the Theatre business.
We may live to see the DEATH of Movie houses. But even worse the ‘Flaggets and Cancel Culture’ is worse than I remember. It use to be you were a Hired Gun for somebody you stuck around for a while (unless you broke the contract agreements). Now he tells me they ‘Change out’ Bodyguards every Award Ceremony, Premiere!
(Just to keep it fresh he said?—what’s that mean anyway?)
Theatre movies suck (to me) lately anyway. I won’t go now too dangerous.
I’ll wait for the DVD.
I never thought I’d be talking like my Father, I guess ‘He knew things’ (Thank God).

My God guys I’m a little slow but I just read this thread I guess you might call it but IDK what’s going on. One thing that made a lot of sense is a body should have to be a paid member of the USCCA to be on here.
