Not sure if this was posted before, but just saw this
Not to mention fully automatic.
[Too oblique?]
This would mean “M9 prohibited” right? Or maybe no Beretta? Or no DA/SA?
Anyway, clearly M&P, 1911, etc — all good. Carry on.
I know this is “meme” thread… but as Chicago visitor… I don’t get this “meme”
Not about Chicago particularly. Sign just happens to be there.
It’s my understanding that the small sign universally means that the item illustrated is not allowed. The item prohibited looked familiar…
Items not illustrated are presumably not prohibited. Hard to have a “universally understood” sign if it doesn’t mean what it says.

This is actually IL officalal “Concealed Carry Prohibited Area” standardized sign.
And yes, that is “Beretta 92”
And that happened to be at Chicago’s CTA station
No, it means they value my dog more than they value their life.
What you are looking at is a “prescribed” No CCW sign.
Notice the citation of the Statute. Legally no other sign is valid.
However since CCW on mass transit is specifically prohibited, does the double negative create a positive?
You can not not carry here?
OK… let’s forget about IL sign. I think we all overthink it…
I see.
Illinois State Police CCW Prohibited Area Sign
Using a specific gun instead of a generalized signage symbol* seemed peculiar.
I thought it was funny. Not funny.
Sorry, Illinois.
*My playground.
Hang on, doesn’t Beretta have a copyright on that image?
I’m pretty certain they didn’t give permission for it to be used as such.
I thought it was funny! Saw it exactly as you did.
You don’t need another stimulus check, you need to cross the border childless, claim the child, report to Biden and get a new family SUV!
