Driving Through Illinois with a concealed carry weapon

I would like to give a belated Thanks to members when I posted this question years back. To add a little more:

  1. Glove box is not a proper storage for your firearm when you stop for a bathroom of gas in Illinois. Get a small vault and lock the firearm in it for stops no matter how short.
  2. It appears from many of the road signs in southern Illinois there is much support for the 2nd Amendment. Just remember odds if you get pulled over it will be by the state police who may not be as supportive, so do everything right.
  3. Beware of highway travel. There are many radar cameras on all roads, and they do move them around. It’s not fun to return home to find a speeding ticket in your mailbox.
