(POTENTIAL) Big win if you’re one of 'em.
I believe this applies to those convicted of federal crimes. Most, if not all states have expungment procedures for non-violent felons.
I agree with certain persons, not all. If you got nailed with a felony as such with no violence and no victim per se, then OK. Such as not understanding reciprocity and/or getting nailed for having the wrong thing at the wrong time and place; with no criminal intent and no victim other than yourself for not knowing the law. Totally in favor. If, on the other hand, you steal someone’s identity, steal their house, cause them great financial hardship, ruin their lives even though non-violent, then absolutely not. Non violence does not imply no victims let alone no harm to that victim. The crime, its intent, and damage caused must be taken into account even if the perpetrator never came into contact with their victim(s).
