Everyone was onboard to cutting USAID. So I guess we’re also OK with cutting the Veterans Affairs - Who cares if your veteran benefits ever get processed, you’ll survive somehow. And staff cuts to CDC (with bird flu recently moving to humans), FAA, CFPB (protecting consumers from predatory banks), IRS (who were specifically hired to collect from wealthy people cheating on their taxes and these agents bring in revenue many times their salary). Yeah, nonessential stuff. What could go wrong with random firings at midnight without doing any research into what the people are doing. You might even accidentally fire people that manage our nuclear arsenal… yeah, they did that too.
And these are not just “new hires”, it also includes anyone that was recently promoted or recently transfered to a new role. If you want to treat govt like a business, you give sr. management an edict to reduce staff budget by X% and submit the plan within 30 days. That way, you preserve critical talent and at least have a minimal transitiion plan to handle work in progress.
To be very clear here. I 100% support everything President Trump and his staff including Elon Musk are doing. The B.S. talking points about fire nuclear this or that mean nothing to me. Flush the frickin toilet and be done with it.

i agree with you as well. This has to be done. And for all the ones who lost their job I feel for you. There are a ton of us that has lost a job. And its not the end of the world. i have lost my job more then once. You have to chose what you want to do. You can put your head in the sand and cry for ever or understand you need to find work.
