Does anyone have a good opinion on the Brady Bill?

They run a background check in your state even though you have a CCW?

Yup. The only privilege a CCW affords you in my state is that you get pushed to the front of the line for a NICS check, which are then usually completed within 10-20 minutes.

Most states do, it is a federal law - Virginia does, too, and Virginia has their own one as well as the NICS. The ATF has given a few states an exception. I don’t recall the details of why.

Here in NW NV you hand them your DL and CCW, fill out the 4473, and walk out with it.

The Brady bill is about as good as a bicycle missing the seat.

The Brady Center for Handgun Control is an opponent of the right to keep and bear arms. So if the Brady Bill is legislation they back, watch out. If by Brady Bill you mean what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to have to pay Tom Brady next year, it’s money well-spent.
