Here they have to post it with specific wording and must be posted a specific way or it carries no weight and a business that make 51% of it’s revenue from alcohol consumption on premises must post a 51% sign and that is automatically no firearms allowed

Make sure your own loved ones and you have concealment, cover, that they escape with you, call 911. No shame in ducking down.
Even off duty police there – if as a last resort, if they think of using lethal force to stop a threat to life, they have to consider the innocent people in the backdrop. You’re responsible for every one of your bullets.
Just guessing in “that” moment, I might not really know what’s going on. For the most part, society may not require that we intervene directly.
I cannot think of a more serious or bigger sacrifice one can ever make than he decision to use such force. Affecting one’s life even greater than marriage, taking a job, or buying a house.
Or, might it risk going from two persons shooting one another to now, three or more.
I know there have been stopping of an active shooter, and I ought respect that. i can only guess, the brave heroes were able to study the situation.

Agreed (Today). Things have changed. We have changed. Going to the Mall FOR ANYTHING is an unnecessary risk (for me). I’m out and about most days not cowering in a corner but I darn sure weigh the risks before I venture out these days.

Other than that I SEE NO BADGE ON ME?, NO CAPE?, No Spartan Sword N Shield. I see ME! and I don’t want anymore holes in ME! I’ve grown fond of NOT seeing Medical equipment in my Bedroom, No IV stands or Wheel chairs. I don’t want to rekindle that relationship—ever.
EVEN WITH Gun Insurance your life will change after a shoot—NO DOUBT!. MAKE DAMN SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE FIGHTING FOR!. Taking a life sucks make sure you know who’s side they are on… You can’t? Do not engage!

Remember, not even LEO’s have a duty or are legally required to protect individuals. If the professionals can pick and choose how to handle such situations then so can I.
My only *duty* is to protect my family and myself.

Assuming I could figure out what was going in time, get my family to safety (because them dragging me to a mall is the only way you’ll see me in one) and engage any direct threat to me. No percentage in getting into a bar fight with guns.

Ya never think you’re the only one carring in Texas I know a 82 year old lady that has A 9mm on her at all times and is a pretty good shot. We are a State then can protect itself.

To me, it isn’t about protecting oneself, it is the risk of guessing who the bad guy(s) is. Even if you’re that lucky, you have no idea of the firestorm if his little army comes for you and your family later. Simply not worth it unless it is me, my loved one, or someone that I care a LOT about. Enough to ruin my own life and that of my family/friends.

In a lot of states, ‘no guns’ signs do not have the force of law, but if asked to leave and you don’t then trespassing. However states like Texas and Illinois the signs have force of law if the language is right.

I hear you, despite our meaning well, as opposed to police or military in the field who have special training and even legal support, we “dirty” civilians might not, thus we have to be extra careful if, when, and how far to intervene - if we make a mistake, have an accident - there are no greater consequences.

After relocating to Utah from Commiefornia, we went to the State Capitol for a 2nd Amendment rally. I was cautious about entering the Capitol with my edc pistol so I locked it in my trunk.
As we entered the building , I walked up to three State Officers and asked them if the Capitol was a no carry zone. They looked at me and asked, where are you from? I told them and they laughed. I laughed back and said, I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
I carry every day and if the business or mall doesn’t allow carry… I refuse to do any business with them!

Yep,many of us carry cocealed and open up there on the hill. Drives the left wingers nuts, they just can’t figure out how, with all of those firearms, not a single person get’s shot…
