Do you or do you not?

Taken into account what happened in Louisiana at the mall, what would you do?

For those that haven’t heard, sounds like 2 guys got in an argument and sounds like they started shooting at each other. I guess 1 dead and multiple bystanders injured.

Would you take them both on? Innocent people are getting hit.

Good question.

First thing that came to mind was, as taught in CCW class, never assume I know what’s going on other than the fact there’s a shooting.

If I took on both shooters, I’m potentially making myself the target of two idiots.

Get myself (if alone) or my “circle” to safety. If you’re not in my circle, you’re none of my business.

I’d be wondering how the heck I ended up in a mall and would then vacate the premises asap. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

This right here :index_pointing_up: I’m not a security detail for those unwilling to take care of themselves. My obligation is to my family and friends.

I’d have to agree, be hard if seeing innocent people going down but…

If I go to the mall, its only because im with my wife and daughter. My #1 priority is to get them to safety. All shops in malls usually have a back door access.

Unless im being engaged, id try and get my girls and anybody nearby out. 2 guys trying to kill each other helps the gene pool

Old scam: Two people arguing like hxxx on a busy corner. Draws a crowd. Pickpockets fleece the onlookers.

Most malls are posted as gun free zones, hence a problem.
I called the cops on myself one time. In Anchorage all doors have to be posted with signs. I found 1 door that wasnt, so I always used that door. Must have printed that day but the rent a cops stopped me and demanded I give up my 1911. I told them to go fug themselves. I called the cops.

They backed me up.

Was in a mall at Christmas time, had to pick up some jewelry I ordered for my girls. Still carried but I was always watching people and looking for a 2nd way out.

I am in Texas also, but our local mall has 30.06 and 30.07 signs posted at every entrance, including the private ones. Strangely, I haven’t seen any 30.05 signs around.

Very strange indeed.
