R wrote this book a while back. It’s the translation of the letters her dad sent home starting in Basic Training, Landing at Utah Beach, Campaign through Europe… Some pretty interesting thing in there.

We just finished watching Saving Private Ryan. My son hadn’t ever seen it (he’s 13). Since it starts on D Day, and goes from there, I thought it was a good choice.
