If all goes as I hope and I relocate to Texas, this is the handgun I’d like to carry concealed. I fell in love with it when I first saw it and shot it.
Wait! Springfield makes a handgun that shoots Electro-Magnetic Pulses? How cool is that? And it’s in a 1911 platform! I gotta get me one of those.
Imagine this: One of those annoying people staring at a phone while walking down the sidewalk and bang, you shoot a pulse at the phone and it’s now a paper-weight.
Hey Jorge, when and where in Texas are you thinking of moving? What’s the deciding factor? I see you’re in CA now, yikes! We’re in the central Texas Hill Country, we look forward to having you move here.
Great choice @Jorge.
I’ve been always thinking Texas = 1911
I have the predecessor to it, EMP4 (Enhanced Micro Pistol 4"). Really like it, but wouldn’t mind giving up the one round for the Contour
Hey… I think it’s time for a change of scenery and environment, plus my daughter has been offered a scholarship to attend Rice University in Texas. I’ve been at my job (urban planning, land use) for about 19 years and it has become stale if you will.
Initially, I’d set my sights on New Mexico but there is nothing there related to my field. I applied for a position there but the response I got that there was that my degree wasn’t in my field (forget the extensive and lengthy experience).
Then, I started looking around in Texas and three cities have shown interest in my experience: Fort Worth, San Antonio and Texarkana. So, hopefully, one of them will come through.
I thought it was a beauty when I first saw it.
Welcome to the Free United States of America. Leaving Calif was something I did more than 25 years ago, no looking back.
Your pistol choice is good, strong weapon, customer service is great. I noticed the bobbe grip frame this will help in concelment.
Good luck in the job market and Congrats to your daughter.
Congratulations to your daughter and good luck with the pending relocation! Glad you brought this gun up. I’ve been staring at one in an online cart for about a month. Have not had a chance to shoot or feel it in my hand, but I’m deathly afraid of venturing down the 1911 rabbit hole!!!
Springfield manufactures some amazing firearms. You cannot go wrong with them.
Thanks for the kind words about my girl. Hopefully, a job will come through soon.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. I love Springfield firearms. My first handgun was a Springfield XD9 and to this day, I still love it. Their firearms are top quality, extremely accurate and very little recoil. Right now I am eyeing the Saint AR-15 Pistol.
That is a sharp looking pistol, Jorge. Congratulations to your daughter, Rice is a fine university. Good luck to you with your pending career opportunities…I think we still have room here in The Republic of Texas for both you and your daughter.
Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate them.
I’ve never shot the Springfield EMP 4 1911 but it’s always been on the short list of 1911s I’d like to own. I hope your move goes well.
Thanks. I appreciate that.
