OK, so I’m writing my personal suspicions into the text of the Gateway Pundit link posted above.
In any case, there’s now evidence to suggest that an estimated 100K mourners of Charlie Kirk will face the threat of violence when attending his memorial service tomorrow. It’s at a public stadium and the President and a number of Federal personnel will reportedly attend.
So, threatened with violence, how close can a privately owned firearm legally come to the event tomorrow?
Personally, I think in most cases the vehicle in the stadium’s parking lot is as far as it can get, at least according to my reading of the Arizona Revised Statutes, § 13-3102.
Also, I wonder if Federal law has any hidden gotchas. To my knowledge, only 18 U.S.C. § 930 regulates where it’s against Federal law to possess a firearm. As far as I can tell, that’s any Federal facilities or courts that post or otherwise inform folks that firearms are prohibited in/on those facilities, barring the yeah-buts in subsection d.
Anyone have deeper understanding or insight into where, how, and how close a firearm can approach the event?
Update: TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet has confirmed the suspect was doing security for an attendee.
Kolvet wrote in a post on X, “I want to add a note of clarity here. This individual was doing advance security for a known guest planning to attend the memorial service tomorrow. We do not believe this person was attempting anything nefarious, however the advance was not done in proper coordination with the TPUSA security team or US Secret Service. Also important to note that this was before the site had been fully sealed and locked down. Every precaution is being taken to ensure everyone’s safety.”
How are we going to maintain Continuity of Government ?
No offense, but Mike Johnson as President during a coup? I don’t know guys, tomorrow is going to be an edge of your seat day!
Are the Marines locking down the state? If not there are a lot of loose democrats walking around freely all with one motive.
I trained for a lot of stuff but never how to repel our own “citizens”.
So far I haven’t seen them maintain too much control over all the idiots nationwide that are assaulting federal officers on a daily basis.
How can we be sure they can protect half the presidential cabinet!

My first guess is anyone threatening is going to get tackled until security zip ties them.

State Farm Stadium has a retractable roof, which I guess if closed, offers some protection. A quick glance at photos, I see no next-door rooftops.
Stadium website reads:
“Enforces a Clear Bag Policy that date
“Has a long list of prohibited items
“Metal detector screening and bag checks are mandatory
“Upon entry to State Farm Stadium, all guests will undergo a search and have their belongings scanned. Stadium personnel maintain the right to confiscate items posing a threat to the facility or event safety. Guests declining the search or violating policies may be denied entry or ejected from the premises.
“You can approach the nearest Guest Experience Representative or Security team member, or text the Gameday Text Message Hotline at 623-400-2210. "
Still, nothing is guaranteed. A perpetrator can be deceptive as history has demonstrated; no pun intended.

To answer THE question (MOO! – My Opinion Only)
WE CAN ONLY DO OUR BEST, Be that SECURITY, Sit. Awareness, Self Defense and Living the best lives we can. WE WILL NOT RUN AND HIDE FROM FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC TERRORISTS! If we do then they win!.
Phuck them! The reason Security is heightened is because the GOOD GUYS are closing in on this CABAL, Cutting off the Illegal Money streams and yes if you read closely we are arresting folk’s! (Not the ‘Big Kahuna’s yet but taking out their Minions). The Security will be tight but the main statement on Security that has been drilled into me is ‘IF THEY WANT TO GET SOMEONE? A DETERMINED ENEMY WILL EVENTUALLY SUCCEED’ Big Fat comfort I know but this is OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF AND HIS CABINET (plus Thousands of Civilians!) . Suicide (individuals and Squads) isn’t out of the question but this will no doubt be a shoot them down THEN ask questions. BUTLER changed all that and now the Assassination of Charlie Kirk hardened their (and our) RESOLVE! I wouldn’t bring a firearm (even in a Lock box in your car anywhere near that Memorial) They will prolly have ‘Pre-Screening’ before the Lot gates. Advanced Screening (roving patrols, Drones, Sniper teams, Camera’s 360 and Lord knows what. Nothing is impossible with the Looney Left acting as they are, even the Crazed Anarchists will be loading Mags as I write this. It’s not the Inside Memorial that concerns me too much it’s the Outer damage (Sh!tshow) that I would be on the look out for. Making a ‘Statement’, Blowing yourself up, Truck bomb, Even a simple suicide run by one guy in his personal car like in New Orleans anything to Piss in our Corn Flakes! , Doing a Bagrum Airbase attack is my worry. It doesn’t have to be Trump/ Johnson et al. as the Target. A Mass Causality Event would serve their delusion that they are winning!
The WAR has just been declared, Innocents will unfortunately still be in the crosshairs (That’s who the Left targets!)
Having now witnessed the USSS in action, I probably have some flawed observations.
A perimeter is established. That perimeter is for all intents and purposes the venue. Any restrictions, loss of rights, suspensions of the Constitution, etc., etc., and ad nauseum that are active in the venue are now active from the perimeter inward with escalating degrees of enforcement. This applies to everything in the venue, vehicles included. Also, those restrictions are likely greater than normally required by the venue in question.
My takeaway from my experience is that I need to park away from whatever the venue is and divest myself of any constitutionally protected rights or objects to which the USSS objects before entering the venue hosting the POTUS.
Also, if it helps, the TSA did the security searches of individuals. So, nothing not normally allowed past TSA, plus no bags or strollers. I’m not sure what restrictions existed for medical devices; wheelchairs and such.
