The poll surveyed registered Democrats in California earlier this month, asking who they would theoretically support in 2026.
The answer overwhelmingly was Harris.
The former U.S. Senator-turned-Veep received 57% of responses, easily surpassing the second-highest vote-getter in former Orange County Congresswoman Katie Porter (9%). Of those polled, 17% said they haven’t decided yet who they would choose.

Nope. Just another PG&E utility crisis like the rolling blackouts that recalled Gray Davis and put Arnold S in office will boot her from the job. Think: meltdown at Diablo Canyon or another utility sparked Paradise-style wildfire that kills people.
I hope your right but i have no faith in the California voters in the big cities. Just take the last 10 years, they still vote Dem. They seem to not care about taxes, crime, the illegals they are paying for…not to mention the natural disasters that either could be avoided or atleast reduced.
Is that the fault of voters or the people who lack the motivation or skill to run for office and put together a winning political campaign using those issues to attract voters in numbers large enough to oust the California Dems people seem to complain about endlessly? Maybe California Dems are in office because: (1) they actually make an effort to run for office and endure the pain of doing so; and (2) they figured out what attracts the majority of voters in the districts in which they run and how to better market their ideas to voters than do their opponents.
The business world is littered with firms that failed because they did not/could not figure out what consumers wanted and failed to develop a business plan that includes marketing their products to consumers and convincing consumers to buy their products. Those failed businesses often assume that they will be successful if they simply build a better mousetrap. Build it and they will come only works in the movies.
My recollection is that Elon Musk did significant research on high-speed mass transit in California – he called it Hyperloop. The project failed in large part because the trains originated and terminated far from city centers thus defeating the benefits of a high-speed train. It will be interesting (in a horrifying way) to see how quickly he lines up at the government trough for money that’s printed for such a project in the future.
I used to commute pretty frequently between DC and New York. There were frequent flights that theoretically only took about an hour, but on airplanes a 1-hour flight is easily 2-4 hours travel time with ticketing/check in lines, baggage handling, parking, body cavity searches by TSA, weather delays, equipment delays, cabs to and from NY airports, etc. All to be squeezed into seats not made for adult males with no room to work as airplane trays no longer accept anything bigger than a cell phone. The train – even the non-Acela trains – was my travel preference as the seats were comfortable, the trains were quiet, there was real internet service, time .to drink a beer or two, and there was actual workspace. And the trains dropped me at Penn Station in mid-town Manhattan and Union Station in DC, close to where I needed to go.
So what you are saying is, I move to California, run for office as a Republican and everything will turn on a dime and be all good again? Because what I’m saying is it won’t matter how cool I am, how articulate of a politician I am, how much campaign money I spend. Run for office as a Republican in California and you loose.
Unless you wait another Election cycle, Cackle’s gets in, she fleeces the rest of the Treasury, burns the rest of Cali to the ground, Hollywood leaves for Texas (as some are doing already), Every BIG mover and Shaker Business people get fed up with the Corruption and Jet, and that leaves the Chinese and Illegals to rule the roost.
