Ca legal ar pistol

i got an ar15 pistol registered lower (finally) and am setting up the build list… with all the jargon, opinions, additions, and craziness aside i cannot seem to find a solid answer to my question.

can i put a deadfoot arms folding adapter with a “fixed” grex tailhook stabilizing brace on it, and NOT use a magazine lock (since you cant exactly “break” the recievers apart to reload without completely disassembling the upper)? (no there will not be a forward mounted grip, 10.3” barrel with a mega arms monolithic upper.

@Andrew281 Welcome to the community, hopefully someone can chime in to answer your question. Being that Commifornia has so many restrictions on firearms it’s hard to determine what legally can be added/improved/customized on your firearms without getting into a situation.

Good luck on this one. It’s not so much a question of “is it legal” as to the interpretation of of a bunch of biased individuals who don’t care. And if they know they’re wrong they still won’t hesitate to harass you anyway. Take it from an EX CA!

Welcome to the community, comrade!

I would suggest asking local experts at CalGuns.

Isn’t this a CA approved AR grip?

From living next door to the people’s republik of California I have learned that if there is something you want on an AR, it will most likely be illegal.

As Beancounter suggested, check on CalGuns

Greetings, Andrew281, and welcome to the forum. We are glad you found us.

I think what my buddy Bruce was say saying was to flee California while you still can. I think Arizona will soon need authorized travel papers for people from Cali before crossing the border going East.
