For the sake of discussion, let’s consider the major attribute of shotguns as being multi-purpose firearms—not soley for HD, Trap, or water fowling, but a multi-purpose tool as traditionally & historically employed. Consider durability, materials, reliability, actions, stock designs and gauges.
