Robert, the problem arises when a so-called religion conflicts with the Bill of Rights in the US.
A major factor of Islam is their Sharia Law. It is the Supreme law of Islam, but the problem is, almost all of it is incompatible with our Bill of Rights.
How do you reconcile a religion that says to kill someone for freely expressing his or her views with the very same constitutional amendment that protects freedom of religion AND freedom of expression? It can’t work here. One of two things must happen, either the Muslim must NOT fully practice his religion as laid out in his law (and his law says he can be killed for leaving Islam), or everyone else must lose their fundamental rights so the Muslim can properly practice. The Western world that believes in freedom of expression, and the Islamic world that believes in the requirement to spread Islam, either "by the word or by the sword " (their words), are on a collision course that isnt going to end well. It’s started in the Middle East, but isn’t stopping there. Look at our campuses this past year.

That’s why I typed it as a hypothetical “if”. BTW, I had family that walked that trail. Some other distant family that watched Europeans land. I’m probably about 1% Native American but still the history is there. It’s so far distant it doesn’t mean much to me. I find it odd though that people with absolutely no connection get so upset over it. Instead of dwelling on what can’t be changed we should work on stamping out all forms of hate irregardless of skin pigmentation. Hold everyone equally responsible. My point with the moslems is their ideology that says moslems MUST rule and everybody else is second class citizens. We went through a civil war once over it and we are treading that path again by giving them preferred status.
There is more subtlety in hatred today. Blacks hate whites under the guise of poverty instead of having a direction and working hard. Democrats hate those who promote freedom under the guise of transgender diversity. Muslims on the other hand hate anyone who will not convert to their god. Just about everything you post, especially what you posted about Muslims and American history. Islam has over 1400 years of history showing us what they believe and that they will and do act on those beliefs. Our history is replete with their invasions and conquests of lands that were once Christian, in Europe, Asia and Africa; and the raids, invasions, and conquests of parts of Europe; and their ongoing slave trade, etc.
Do you know how many Muslims live in this country right now ? Approximately four and half million … Yet the nightly news is not flooded with bombings … Sure there are bad actors . Little do you understand the moslem tactic. When they first come to a nation and are minority, they behave themselves and get along then as their population grows they start demanding things like blasphemy laws. Then when their population becomes large enough they outright demand changes for you to comply to their religion.

It is unlikely - not impossible - that this country will ever devolve into such a situation. You could make the case for Minnesota (pity the Viking fan) but i don’t think one congress woman is going to turn the tide. That said, in four years if there is a blue wave and someone like AOC is elected president, all bets are off. Until then I will continue to have faith in the American people. As far as who has the most guns, I want to be on the side that has the best EMP defense against drones.
