I truly wonder if the Bloomberg’s, Gates or the rest of the elite 1%er are worried or concerned of an uprising. These people have the ability to create havoc in the U. S. and have the capability of leaving to “safer” countries who can provide for them.

The truly wealthy are not worried. They have the means to manipulate the unwashed masses. And if the discontented hoards turn on their masters, the truly wealthy have the means to shield themselves from them.
If an “eat the rich” uprising were to occur, they wouldn’t go after the super rich. That would be too difficult to do. They would instead prey on the wealthy suburbanites who’ve gone deep into debt to live beyond their means.

What’s more worrisome for me is the view among people who claim to be conservatives that it is the rich – e.g., Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Bloomberg, George Soros, anyone in Silicon Valley, etc – who are responsible for the world’s ills and even conspire to make things worse. That’s a narrative that historically has been associated with Marxists/Communists who advocated taking the resources of “the rich” to redistribute to the masses, violently, if necessary.
The problem was that “the rich” kept being redefined to eventually include anyone who was a landlord, anyone who owned land, anyone who was identified as an “intellectual.” The slaughter in Cambodia is just one example how those railing against “the rich” eventually devolved into mass slaughter.

Not at all the same - the phrase “Agent of discord” has zero to do with “tax the rich”. When you read about the WEC and who is part of it, it is them. No one here is advocating harm to them.

I agree the rich or wealthy are not the focus. It is the elitist, those who are making policies being carried out by those who are bankrolling the systematic distruction of this country.
The Soros group has vowed to ramp up their efforts to bring their form of “justice”.

Labels like “Agent of discord” find a way into policy, often violent when those tagged with the labels are identified as enemies of the state people seek to create.
Pol Pot labeled his opponents “capitalists” and “counter revolutionaries” who needed to be purged from Cambodian society (killed) all the while insisting that his regime was simply trying to move the country into a socialist society. Of course, he was just following the model set out by Lenin, Stalin and Mao.
I fear that’s what happening (or will happen) when those who identify themselves as conservatives attack the rich and label them “Agents of Discord.”

Yeah, I’m not a fan of any side when they get all nutty and start blaming all the world’s problems on a small number of people. The world is a messy place; we don’t need boogeymen to explain how goofy people are.

We are not nutty, and that is rude to state that. I did not personally insult you. You agree with the WEC’s agenda? You do understand that many of these “elites” are part of that group? How is it “nutty” to see that what these people are doing/trying to do is wrong?

Almost certainly, Lenin made the same argument when the Communists deposed the Czar (and executed him and his family) and eventually the petite bourgeoisie who were accused of conspiring with the elites to suppress the masses. He would be proud to see his methods employed by the right against “the rich” and the “elites” as that would, in Lenin’s mind, bring about a socialist revolution.

I didn’t say you are nutty. I said groups can get nutty and start blaming all the world’s problems on a small number of people. Just off the top of my head, people like to blame everything on: MAGA Republicans, George Soros, Jews, vast right-wing conspirators, the bourgeoisie, Muslims, Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Ten, etc.
If you find yourself in such a group that assigns blame to one set of people, you can get all offended and blame me for it. But that doesn’t change anything, does it?

I’m not so sure I agree with that statement. Based on the number of very wealthy families who seem to be investing in land in Panama, New Zealand, etc. As well as the number investing in long range aircraft to fly non stop to these places. The high end bunker business seems to be booming as well.
I once spoke with a person who did some work for one of the billionaire’s and got to spend some time at one of their homes. They said the security and preparedness measures were way beyond what someone would need to defend against a well organized home invasion or kidnapping attempt.
I think the elites are worried about the pitchforks coming out. They are not solely to blame for the mess we are in but they have been reaping a historically high percentage of the profits from a system that is leaving more and more people on the outside looking in. They may have plans in place for easily dealing with whatever fallout comes along but I think it is weighing at least a little bit in the back of their minds.

I do not assign blame, those that commit the dispicable acts are assigned to groups, felons, thieves, etc. I am not responible for their labels, they are.
You also did not make clear that the “they” was a group and not the people in the group. As it was worded, it was the people, not the groups that you deemed “nutty”. Just trying to keep the discussion civil. Neither is it “nutty” to recognize what people are actually doing, which is not “blaming all the world’s troubles on them”, just assigning guilt where it belongs. I am not into conspiracy theories.

I have read each post here and can only admit that I am guilty of being
a security ‘advisor’ for some of the rich and shameless. I have nothing against people being rich, it is HOW they made their wealth often times that made my stomach roil. That is one reason why I couldn’t do it anymore, I like to sleep semi-peacefully @ night. I looked at it as a ‘Job to do’ when everybody was still alive and unhurt @ the end of the day life was good and positive results created more opportunity for future employment. It was the .gov that ALWAYS made my skin crawl. (and now more than ever)
It still affects me sometimes when I look @ my Jaguar and xterra (neither NEW but still makes me ‘cringy’ @ times and dampens the pride of ownership deal…but I usually get over it fairly quick knowing I put my life on the line and kind of made it a wash for both characters 
).
I have to be honest here as I try to do always working for the .gov or for private individuals I didn’t always have my BS meter engaged. but I did enjoy the checks written that made me not ‘want’ for very much. I never worked for the truly UBER RICH as I found that I knew I wasn’t going to be able to keep my BIG MOUTH shut for long and long term employment was my goal back then and truth be told I did get a negative vibe from some possible employers even though back then it wasn’t so blatant and out in the open as it is now . As for THEM being worried? I found in my travels that for as long as I worked they were pretty much always ‘concerned’ about being so wealthy (differing reasons of course but concerned nonetheless). That is why for a time Hollyweird seemed the lesser of evils because they made insane amounts of dinero just making movies. I felt that protecting them was honorable because they were just trying to stay safe and with them purchasing huge plots of land in remote areas they felt they would be safer not understanding it made it EASIER for a negative event to happen and HARDER for the teams to keep an area and people secure. Protecting their families I felt was a noble and just cause. This is why some (a lot of my former clients) basically had rotating teams of security not realizing that that in itself created problems for them and their families they never dreamed of., nobody could ‘BE ON’ 24/7 everybody needs a break a refit etc. But for the most part I got to patrol some of this countries great woods and mountains, some really nice rivers and streams to fish in as I am NOT a hunter (of animals) that never appealed. But clean, crisp fresh air and water, real dirt and snow on my boots tended to make me a more professional kind of guy. Walking around w/ an M4 over my shoulder when Hollywood types were partying would stare and gawk I have to admit made me feel 10’ tall w/ a hard-on! I miss that most of all, 
They were finally getting a clue that smaller was better by the time I left. Better trained (but less amounts) meant less $$Talk$$ about what they saw, who did what or who. Lower profiles, less public parties etc. But security people/real security were starting to get harder to find and ever worse to work with. Tabloids made security people a status symbol. Buff, 6’5", bald, stylin’ clothes I was NEVER one of those. I was a carhartt wearing, cowboy hat/ball cap low key dude. I mean not to make myself seem like a weenie, I looked the part alright w/ my condor chest rig/ancient M4 and kabar on my hip so I could still make a guy pause before considering a challenge. But back to the Evil prevalent today I am truly grateful I NEVER saw any of the sh-- they are talking about w/ cults and ceremonies because had that crap shown itself I would have donned the light blue wally-world vest instead of supporting THAT sh–! I’m just really glad it never happened. I chose who I worked for, they didn’t choose me. My little Ambassador journey (10) years! was a mistake but the lure of REAL DANGER I have to admit appealed to my August/Lion instincts but he was a real Piece of garbage just like what you hear of the current pieces of garbage currently holding office today.
THEY don’t worry about anything! (Politicians) They feel they are the ‘Anointed’ one’s, Here to eradicate the evil of the world that are truly one of. they just won’t/can’t admit it to themselves. AND THET HATE THAT WE OWN GUNS! THEY HATE US W/ A PASSION that WE Peons can just save a couple of bucks up go into an LGS an BUY a GUN! that just tweeks their cookies something awful! HOW DARE WE are able to do that! But when the SHTF it was truly marvelous seeing them piss themselves and cry out for that protection they sneered @ not needing. Maybe that’s the key to this whole problem. They need to go!
You truly see in YOURSELF (and those you protect) when the lead starts flying what you are really made of. Oh, you can talk the talk, read up on what it ‘must have’ felt like but when you are ALIVE after a situation and you look around at the sh-- eating grins of your Brothers! And most are still here you can literally see yours’s and their hearts swell with pride and accomplishment, that you triumphed over EVIL and lived to tell the tale(sometimes often, sometimes just amongst yourselves).TRUE BROTHERHOOD.
that is why I like being here so much. You guy’s are REAL and it takes me back to the day’s when a guy say’s something (even a differing opinion) mean’s something no matter what because you all know that there is a common bond amongst us. Differing backgrounds, Military experience, life experiences but it all leads to this same place we are @ now. So, we bicker and argue, say too much , or silently NOT tap those keys in the end we keep coming back here. For me this is HOME.
And I thank my lucky stars and Angels whatever the heck made me join USCCA I am grateful because it lead me here to you.

I believe those who covet political power will constantly seek to find small groups of scapegoats upon which they can cast the blame for all the troubles which the masses believe are thrust upon them. I believe this because I find it to be true thoughout most of history, as well as in our own lifetimes and our own nation. Socialists will blame the rich. Fascists will blame foreigners. Nazis will blame Jews. Communists will blame capitalists. Democrats will blame Republicans. Republicans will blame Democrats. Christians will blame Muslims. Muslims will blame Jews. Jews will blame Christians.
The horse is against the automobile. The bus is against the train. The train is against the jumbo jet, and I’m against fishing in the rain.
The basic line is “You are miserable. Those people over there are responsible for your misery.”
Yep, I think it’s nutty. It’s even nuttier that people fall for it, every single time.

We dont have to assign blame. It is assigned to us by the media and politicians. The groups are more or less the pawns used to divide.
