AR15 5.56 Nato vs AR15 300 Blackout

The 300BLK shoots the same exact bullets as a 308, just slower.

As far as I know, 300BLK, 308, 30-06, 300 WIN-Mag, and I’m sure many others all shoot 0.308 diameter bullets. Please correct me if I am wrong …

This is the danger of .300blk!

It is the same casing and over all length as a standard 5.56 round!

It uses the exact same magazine, and will feed into the chamber of a 5.56 gun….

I’ve read there can be feeding issues with the larger, heavier 300BLK bullets when loaded in 5.56 magzines. I have not spent the money to experiment to find out, I bought 300BLK specific magazines …

There is a little more wiggle room for the bullet in the 300BLK magazine. These are 150 grain 300BLK cartridges in the photo (my shoulder not strong enough to pull out the 300 BLK suppressed ammo yet). [image] Think I will also color code the “PMAG” logo on the Gen M2 (white) and Gen M3 (green) dust covers so I can keep them straight - yes I do use the dust covers [image] I know this is not the most interesting thread, but … here we are!
