This hasn’t been our first rodeo on ammo shortages.
Much to do about panic buying like the run on toilet paper. This shortage hurts a bit more because of the CCP Virus, politically motivated violent riots and South American miners going on strike. Add to this mix a surge of new firearms buyers (Defund-Police) and we now have 9mm FMJ selling for >$1.00/rd.
After having lived through this a few times, most old-timers slowly stocked up on reloading supplies. While ammo supplies fluctuate like the stock market clinging to every rumor, reloading might be a skill-set worth developing.
Another reason to own a .45 ACP. 9mm is a finicky cartridge to reload. Very small case demanding more narrow tolerances on propellant. The 9mm operates with a very high chamber pressure. No room for minor fluctuations.

Yes I have heard it could run through the middle of 2021. This is info I gather from my fav You Tubers. But I hope that a new company picking up the ammo business from Remington could help improve it a little. Also hope seeing what has gone on recently, Will produce more jobs
