Is there a ammo shortage or one coming up? My go to supplier is Target Sports and last week I ordered a case of 9mm. I am not picky about 9mm other then it has a brass casing and it use used only the range. This week I wanted a case of CCI Mini Mag 22LR. I prefer this ammo as I had issues with other manufacturers in the past Out of stock, no idea when it would be. Next I went to Bulk Ammo no Mini Mag
but they had two cases of CCI Blazer in stock. When I inquired about the low stock they replied they had a run on ammo lately. I guess some people are preparing for Iran to invade or sleeper cells which personally I do not see happing in the near future. I saw recently there is a gun powder storage so maybe that might contribute to the problem.
The online prices have been slowly climbing over the past month, in store they haven’t changed.
If you need .22 I have about 3500 left. 
I am not bragging but I go to the range 3-5 times a week (retirement is great). Because of this I go thru 5000 rounds of 22 and 1000 of 9mm rounds about every 6 weeks. I do keep a months supply in reserve. My targets are made from a plain white sheet with a circle drawn a can with a Sharpie. Buying guns in 9 or 22 caliper makes buying ammo easier and cheaper. 3500 would not last me too long but thanks for the offer.
We have a lot of wind out here in the desert so I invested in a lot of ar500 targets, the satisfaction of hearing the steel ping makes it worth the investment.
My 3500 of .22 will last me the rest of the year since I only go out 1-2 times a month now.

I see some states playing follow the leader with gun control initiatives and wouldn’t be surprised if some people are stocking up before their state goes to a) banning online ammo purchases or b) requiring an FFL transaction with said purchases.
I also got an email a couple weeks back from a supplier regarding tariffs and increased prices.
Just received and email from another online seller that 9mm prices are going up, if I don’t see toilet paper on the shelf today, then I might buy more.
I suggest buying toilet paper until no one else sees it on the shelves, muhahahah.
9mm prices are way up. TargetSports USA has practically no 124gr 9mm in stock. Not sure what’s going on.
Maybe sleeper cells are stocking up on ammo as well.

Seriously, I am so use to businesses ‘Panic selling’ by now it doesn’t phase me anymore. If gas goes up I don’t drive so much. It’s been pretty windy/Breezy makes for a lotta dust devils so I haven’t gone shooting(mesa) for a while now. I am now a fan of Dry Fire practice now (never use to be). Getting really tight prowling round the house when everyone’s snoozin’.

Yeah i have noticed the same thing lately. Ammo stock seems to go up and down and when people hear about shortages they start buying more, which makes it disappear even faster. It is usually just supply catching up with demand, not anything major. Hopefully the shelves will be full again soon.
