I don’t like to admit it, but a rare lapse in my usual critical buying decisions led me to blow what should have been a large grocery order on two knives that I now consider clunkers to avoid. Shopping for a BIG OTF knife, I came across VIPER-TEC’s “Gargantuan Large Godfather” - an Italian-styled (AKA “crummy”) - 13" overall length (6" blade, 7" handle) - the biggest OTF I’ve ever seen - and on sale. I overlooked its lack of a significant guard and bayonet blade with an unsharpened false edge. It DOES have a really powerful double-action - and a positive blade-disengage that works. My second bad buy was a COLD STEEL “Chaos” push-dagger. KNIFECENTER sent me an online review request, but I couldn’t even get it out of the SHEATH, and let them know. AN EXPENSIVE LESSON LEARNED!!!

I real surprised you had trouble with the Cold Steel.
That’s not like them…
Collect stamps instead. You can’t hurt yourself with an interesting postage stamp plus they might increase in value faster.
Just sayin’
