They are basically the same. The speed of the bullet comes onto play. If the speeds are the same the trajectory is the same. 115 are usual faster so travel flatter.
Honestly, when shooting at extended distances (100-200 yards) with a handgun, I’ve been surprised how flat the trajectory of a 115 grain 9mm is compared to the massive drop of a 230 grain .45ACP
Yeah, but apples to apples fired from the same 4.25” barrel with the same powder charge and burn rate,… the heavier slug will drop faster over the same distance because it’s moving slower.
Also, the necessary compression on that chart is ridiculous!
The round starts at 3/4” below the sight line,… and by 70 YARDS out is only 2” below the sight line!?!??? So effectively 2.75” of drop at 70 yards?
That’s pretty flat!
Edit, that’s less than 3” of drop across 2520” of distance….
