I’d argue that it applies with red dots, too. I have one on my carbine and the dot is only on target when it’s centered in the reticle.
Oh, we buy anything g she likes!
Im in there with you guys on marrying up. My wife has all of our prep supplies logged and in a first in first out inventory so we are keeping expiration dates rolling out. Always replenished after we use something from the stash. She is so organized. Always researching, looking for better gear, better prices. Even keeps a running tracker on ammo prices.
@Joseph488 Happy Birthday brother man
Thanks brother!
Close but no cigar. My shotguns have but a single bead!
Yes, but get a visible indication when you are aligned.
I said “sights”. Your shotguns have “sight”.

And, aren’t you aligning that bead with something?
Welcome to the group, Dontavious. Nice looking 1911 you have there.

It’s sight picture then, not sight alignment
Welcome to the community, Dontavious, we’re glad that you’ve chosen to join us!!

The question is… aligned with what?
I stumbled across this, this morning, and since this is the current 1911 discussion, I thought I’d link it here. I was personally surprised I learned a couple of things I did not previously know about the 1911.

Edit: yes, there are a couple of mistakes, but you will either immediately recognize them, or read them in the comments ![]()
The “sight picture” is a product of “sight alignment”. I maintain that the use of any sighting system, whether the actual sight is a single bead or front sight/rear sight or laser dot or red dot or a scope, is only effective when three components are ALIGNED: the shooter’s eye, the sight system, and the intended target. The only way to achieve accuracy is to align all three. Therefore, all intentional accuracy is dependent on sight alignment.
Reminder: when using a dot, make the dot the rear sight and the target the front sight. That gives you sight alignment with target focus.
Exactly; sight alignment.
I like Armscore ammo, especially their .22 mag with the nickle plated cases. Shoots pretty clean for rim-fire. I could care less about .22 long rifle but the WMR is one of my faves
