Just a word to the wiser of you here: be careful of who you idolize; they might either exceed your expectations or let you down.
What you should not do is stand by and let it pass without pointing these things out. People make mistakes. It is easier to stand up for what you did and move on. Than to lie about it and deny it, and then no one moves on.
