Just give 911 the bare minimum of information necessary and tell them you are hanging up until LEOs and or medical personnel arrive.
Calling a lawyer first before emergency responders delays the potentially necessary emergency response. It also may be seen and likely used as evidence that you were more concerned that your actions might not have been legal than you were about getting the proper responders to the scene. Perhaps most importantly it also increases the risk of someone else calling 911 first and describing you as the instigator of the incident. Instead of LEOs greeting you as a potential victim they may instead approach you as the likely criminal.
I do agree that after giving the bare minimum info to 911 it is best to call the Crises Response team before LEOs arrive.
Sometime I can stow the comical to be common sensical.
As someone else noted, incase your choice is not available, or you did not designate one, USCCA Delta Defense might assign an alternative temporarily until you do designate a choice, or they become available if you did.
At least you will get some representation from jump.
If it can be your designated choice. The initial start up may not have to be repeated, and that attorney can just take your case on, and run with it without having to get up to speed after a hand off.
I would just call them first before the cops got there it donāt matter when and the lawyer can be packing his bag to get you out of jail, and if anyone ask why if they find out just explain to them that you know how the laws are and you donāt feel like staying in jail for nothing you sid wrong, as far as anyone has to know you coulda been calling your wife
I like the one Masad Ayoob said on a Wilson Combat cast, he said if ā something happens ā before you say anything to a cop or LEO ( no disrespect intended) if youāre not used to what happened and many people get over exited and say things that they may not remember even that WILL more than not be used against you in court just demand that you will be willing to cooperate after you speak with your attorney but right now you feel very light headed and ill and tell them you need to be taken to a hospital for your excitement and nerves . Then it gets into the muninceapality or town that has to pay for the trip and it makes a lot of sense because you could be in fear you just had to use deadly force and over exited and could say anything and you must speak to a lawyer and clear your head before you make any official statement.
Same as, all Iām saying is call the response team or lawyer whatever you wanna call them asap . Iām not sitting around with my thumb up my arse chewing gun and whistling till the cops get there, if a body is real concerned about what others think they try to deliver medical attention. As far as what others think if itās that touch n go maybe you should have not shot someone in the first place? If anyone was there all they should be able to do is give their statement about what happened and it should be that you were attacked and you had to do what you did, if they donāt know what happened then a lawyer that has been around for a week will blow them off and say if they didnāt see anything then keep their opinions to themselves.
Well thereās a lot of āwhat ifāsā in there, canāt pre- read a situation of something so serious. For just one instance what if some tweeter tries to rob you with a knife and thereās no cameras and no people except you him and his old lady who will lie thru her green teeth for him and put it all on you? Oh sure you have the right to cap the tweeker but can you get out of it? Is being in jail for who knows how long when you have a family and a job? Or do you take the smart road and say here mother āā take it and toss him the 25 bucks you have but keeping your hand on a holster or gun so he knows he might not wanna push you to farā¦who knows the situation until it happens.
Can anyone tell me what that DEI means? Itās driving me nuts! Itās all they talk about all day and I canāt figure out what it is, itās got to be an acronim for something. These acronyms are driving me crazy!
