I already posted this once, but I am posting again on this thread:
We, the people, can do something right now, like this site . I am a huge supporter of LifeStraw. They make good equipment and I use their water filtration products and have several of their filtration products set aside for emergencies. Do what you can, through your church or other organization. Do not wait for the government to help our our fellow citizens. Clean water is #1 for survival. Nothing else comes close.
A few other things to think aboutā¦
I walked into my local Publix (grocery store here in Florida), went directly to the Customer Support counter and asked if they were providing supplies. They are, so I donated right then and there. Go to your local grocer or other business. Tell them to get involved. Will they? I donāt know; so, do it anyway; you never know.
Stopped an Amazon delivery driver and asked her if Amazon has a link to donate to those in need. She did not know but promised to check. An enthusiastic young lady. Will she remember. I donāt know, so do it anyway. Someone will, so I will keep stopping people who work for companies who can make things happen (maybe, you never know; so, do it anyway).
I highly recommend daily prayer specific to those suffering in NC (and other places) from the storm. Morning, noon, and night. I have seen the power of prayer. God likes specific, so be specific. Drill down on what you want to see come to fruition for those suffering in NC and other places.
Contact your church pastor, elders, deacons and ask them to donate right now. Churches historically are the ones who helped the poor or those suffering in times of need. Put a bug in their ear and be persistent.
If you have a newsletter or website and a following, put the word out to your subscribers to get involved (I did this this morning). Send a link (trusted, tested, and a known resource where you know the money or donations are going to those in need). Do it today. Now, not next week.
We, the people, are America. Not politicians, zillionaires, billionaires, media hotties or those living an elite, pampered lifestyle. Working-class America (the disappearing middle-class) is the backbone of our nation and always has been.
