I just finished watching the Celebration and I’m ready to go sign on the dotted line for the Corp sorry very moving but old ways won’t change. Always proud to be a American but even more so after watching this.
I’m too old and out of shape to sign on the line, but I was just as moved by watching the parade!
Too old too. Won’t let me sign back up. Guess I had my fun. Kids said no too. Said i was in enough wars when i was in and I’m not as good as i used to be. Then I had to remind them who’s been training who at the range. 250 years of ass kickin, damn.
Brother, never to old. I would sign up in a blink of an eye. Even if it ment sitting behind a desk answering a phone or at a post. Oath of enlistment hasn’t expired never been relieved.
I feel ya. I’d go back arm and arm skipping. But my boots need to be back on the ground. Wouldn’t feel right any other way knowing the others are out there.
I thoroughly enjoyed the parade and all the festivities last night!
I am a little embarassed to ask this, but I saw several vehicles with an array of short tubes mounted near the machine guns. I recognize the array, but can’t for the life of me remember what they are. Some one please help me:
Edit: I hit the wrong emoji the first time posting
Not an expert so may be mistaken. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I believe they’re for smoke grenades used to help conceal the exact location of the vehicle.
Thank you, you are correct, I was mentally trying to associate it with a SEP or CROWS upgrade or something like that. At least the M2 still looks familiar
Ya I also am to old and out of shape.
Smoke grenades, they fire and explode midair to conceal the vehicle from visual and thermal.
I thought that the parade was pretty cool but not 45 million dollars worth of cool.
For 45 million dollars I would expect way more tanks. Pictures showed way more arriving by train that weren’t there, does anyone know what’s up with that?
I think about 15 million +/- of that budget was for road repairs afterwards. The road probably didn’t get much damage or it would be headline news.
I never worked on the smoke grenade part, so it didn’t stick in my brain very well
