The Aftermath: When an Ex Comes Looking for a Fight

I understand I’m off topic here but wondering the legality of concealing in someone else’s residence. Was PA used as the location in this instance because it’s legal there? Because in my state I think you gotta let ‘em know.

i dunno man, if you have a really strong opinion on this one, regardless of which side you feel strongly about, you should probably take a step back for a minute. ask yourself truthfully, “do i understand how the world works?”. there are many many instances when someone needs to get punched in the mouth… maybe repeatedly, who knows? all the background we have is that a dude went to the ex-husband’s and/or parents house, and was at some point attacked. im in no way saying either side was correct because its literally impossible to do that with this lack of information. but getting in a fight and getting punched in the mouth or hit with a picture frame (IN YOUR WIFE’S EX’s HOUSE, THAT YOU WENT TO INTENTIONALLY i presume), is kind of how things shake out in the real world sometimes.

That’s a valid point. Not sure now with ever changing laws in CA where I live. Don’t ask, don’t tell, I guess. Or, just make my circle smaller so I don’t get invited.

My first instinct when I was younger. I’m older and hopefully wiser. And now, I’m armed. I no longer get into arguments that could lead to fights.

When someone is beating you so bad and you are in genuine fear for your life, you do whatever means you need to do to survive. How can any law tell you how you should react, because everyone has a different level of fear for their lives. No law should be able to make that determination. EVER! Take the shot, save yourself because the law isn’t always on your side. Especially if your a female and continually go to them for protection from a violent perpetrator that isnt held responsible, continues to elevate his behavior. This will not end well, and definitely NOT in my favor, then it will be too late when it could’ve been avoided.

Well said, Bean. And its kind of the lane I was swimming in. I’m armed, just like most everyone else in this forum. What I’m not, however, is someone who feels they no longer need to conform to normal human interaction and/or consequences just because I carry. Like you said, not getting into arguments, is still the way to be. I know a lot of Napoleons out there who couldn’t wait to carry so they could finally feel like a big man. They make the rest of us look bad.

Me thinks that’s why the term ‘Ships Happen’ became so popular the last bunch of years. Just remember Gunner’s YOU DON’T HAVE TO PUT YOUR LIFE AND (FAMILY) in danger to keep the Fam together. IF you have an unstable relative, Office Co-worker, Neighbor that raise the hackles on your neck/arms LISTEN TO THE UNIVERSE SCREAMING @ YOU!. Same Same with Mall’s, Christmas and large crowd events, If you get the signal get the heck out. If you figure there may be trouble somewhere simply don’t go there.

I’m not dying on the Holiday’s (or any other day) when I know someone has a hard-on for me or my family. Drunken Uncle George has more than my fist to worry about then if he decides to poke the Bear (me).

WELCOME TO THE FOLD

Because Ma’am they feel WE CANNOT MAKE DECISIONS LIKE AN ADULT AND WE HAVE TO BE TOLD (LEAD BY THE NOSE IF YOU WILL)

Honestly JoAnn the .gov even with Trump large and in charge is CLUSTERPHUCK. (pardon my language). They all have their own agenda’s and the Socialist/Communist MAIN OBJECTIVE is our disarmament. Once the Resistance is taken away they can do with us Useless Eaters as they please. They’ve proven we are no more than :poop: on their shoes to be scraped off.

‘WHEN THE EX COMES LOOKING FOR A FIGHT’ you have two choices—Be Armed and Oblige them or stay far away—the second is preferable to the first

Divorced myself i have a good relationship with my ex inlaws but not so much the ex wife… my wife and i dont do anything together with them unless its in a large or public mutual setting. Not a home setting. With said ive told my wife if she uncomfortable we’ll leave but if my ex starts something physical she has the green(finish it)… not meening use a firearm unless situation dictates one..
