Depending on who it is, my verbal warning might come right about the same time as I pull the trigger. I live in a small shack with storage downstairs. If Iā€™m alone in my bedroom upstairs (there is only one way in and out, and thatā€™s downstairs) and someone breaks in (iā€™ll hear them, my dogs will warn me) I plan on heading to the top of the stairs. If they are already coming up, they are getting shot if I do not recognize them. If they are out of my view downstairs I will warn them to get out. Iā€™m NOT going to say I have a gun and will shoot them. Why let them know I have guns? If they come to where I can see them, they are going to get shot. Thatā€™s my plan. I have a flashlight, I can also turn on lights that will light up the stairwell.
