Synagogue attack in Los Angeles

I don’t believe he was trying to denigrate them in that way. We, who believe in the RKBA and self-defense, can become a bit enthusiastic about wanting people to learn to protect themselves and can become upset when some people are unwilling or not able to understand the need to be their own first responder. We know most Israelis are willing to step-up to defend themselves and their country, his comment was about the Jews in the USA, many of whom vote against our inalienable RKBA.

We believe every citizen should be willing and able, though we know some will never be. It is great to hear/see when people in groups that typically are not believers/advocates are exercising, and advocating for, their RKBA. Glad to have you here.

You are so right.
I guess I look at our streets in the U.S. and I see weak Jewish Brooklyn boys, almost running scared. If the IDF was in Brooklyn you wouldn’t be able to find a Palestinian flag! Much less a Palestinian!
Two different mindsets, Israel a fight for existence state of mind and a pampered brainwashed Jewish American citizen!
Only one of those will survive. At the same time I don’t want to be on the side that looses due to their compliance!
Hope that makes sense. If they stand up, I’ll be right behind them!
I for one am not giving in to all the bull! Palestinian flags being raised all over the U.S., soon I expected it to be raised above the capitol!
My apologies for all the bad references! I’m very angry, especially when I see whiners on TV, not IDF soldiers.

Thanks Dave. Deep down I knew he wasn’t, but I felt I needed to say something. I get mad at members of my own family who are in a dreamworld about what is going on, but if I try to knock some sense into them they call me crazy! You can surely understand my frustration. I am glad to be here, this is the best community ever!

Hi Again Scott. You do make sense and I surely share in your frustration. I grew up on the tough streets of Upper Manhattan. I was neither pampered nor spoiled, and I was always rebellious. My mindset from the time I can remember was that if you are going to try to drag me away, I am going kicking and screaming and taking you with me. Unfortunately, not everyone in my circle are as determined as I am, and I feel sorry for those in my particular ethnic circle who run scared. However, I’ve met a lot of American Jews who won’t take crap either, the problem is they are too few and far between for anyone to notice. In addition, not all “Jewish Brooklyn boys” run scared, I’ve known many who are mighty tough, they know martial arts, and will fight anyone who starts a fight with them. Many of them fly over to Israel to serve as “lone soldiers” when times get tough and they need more men. Some women do it, too. In fact, I’ve put in some time with the IDF (not in combat, in logistics) and met many American Jews in Israel who did the same. It’s a very complicated situation, and the current tyrannical government is only making matters worse.

I know that you are angry for a very good reason. If the situation gets dire enough hopefully the whiners will stop whining and do something about it. If things ever got bad enough even whiners toughen up because it then becomes a matter of live or death. Most people choose to live. We need to stay optimistic that November 5th is a victory for all of us, or there will be no USA for any of us. Shalom my friend!

Yes - this was bound to happen. People have seen it and stayed silent.
When people stay silent when this happens in the open - that it has for as long as I can remember and I’m 61 - then don’t be surprised when it escalates.
Increases blamed on any one president - Nope - there has been an increase in all hate crimes year over year. Others just ignore it or it’s not reported.
The Anti-defamation league tracks Anti-Semitic hate crimes based on reported incidents and there are Jewish organizations that are also actively tracking (that I am engaged in daily), so by the ACTUAL numbers - reported hate crimes - Harassment / Vandalism / Attacks:
2012 485/406/4
2013 466/365/16
2014 498/354/9
2015 501/288/44
2016 655/374/35
2017 1011/1988/22
2018 1027/1344/47
2019 1053/ 1019/87
2020 1228/862/41
2021 1776/853/88
2022 - 2023 being collated but each shows a 30%+ increase.
The increase after October 7 2023 - is unprecedented.
It’s unfair to “blame” a single entity for this trend other than those who spout, propagate and encourage hate speech. Let’s please avoid blaming one president or another and rather lay blame where it actually belongs - with the people spewing hate and violence against others.
If anyone believes this ends with the destruction of the Jewish people and Israel, you’re “dead” wrong. Its always starts with us and others will (and history shows) and have followed.
We all need to stand against hate or we become the collective victims.

As a Christian I pray for my Jewish brothers and sisters. The boot heel has been on Christians and Jews worldwide. I have often thought that together we should work alongside and push this evil back to where it belongs. The first step is to clean house in government and get a fresh start. Government is supposed to be about service to the 50 states, not power, control, greed, money and the rest. And we must keep politics from being a career any more.

One big difference between riots and protests is that during riots, Korean shop keepers climb on roofs with rifles.

Term limits, passing a constitutional amendment that would prohibit congress from passing laws and exempting themselves from it, bring back that law not allowing moslems to hold office, outlaw lobbyists, bring back the church’s role it once had in America and impeach officials that don’t uphold their oath to the constitution.

Our gubment officials have learned how to bribe/buy votes by using tax dollars. It’s a downright shame.

Yeah, and the ever dangerous outraged parents at Leftist indoctrination centers called “public schools”.

Since the local PDs have been given marching orders by indoctrinated Leftist mayors and DAs, yes. Bring in untainted (if there are any any more) fed police to arrest and jail haters and inciters to riot.

Actually I don’t think public schools are a bad thing. What the left have turned them into is a whole different thing. I went to public schools and they were pretty good. Then the standards were lowered. My first few years of elementary school in order to get an A you had to get a 95 or better, 70 or lower was failing. When the standards were lowered I knew I could pass without much effort and that’s what I did. It wasn’t until later in life I realized how stupid I was for not taking advantage of the time and had to learn on my own.

Edit: and the standards kept getting lowered until we have what we have today. Discipline was taken out of schools and then the shyte show started.

Yes, but I dont believe large scale riots can happen without great deal of money and great deal of expertise in such things. The fact that people who are obligated to look into such things do not look into them, points to itself.

We’ve been spoiled by Western Civilization.
The Histories of many of the greatest cities in Biblical times as well as Roman were rife with rioting!
Jerusalem, Antioch, Rome, Alexandria, Edessa, Lugdunum, Constantinople, Milan, Ravenna, Carthage were all eventually cradles of civilization, but all were violent and riotous at times. Rulers back then harshly punished cities for rioting----entire cities, holding no distinction for the perpetrators—decimation meant decimation.

Not to jump on your case but instead of “decimation meant decimation”, I believe the punishment being meted out is better described as annihilation. Decimation is defined as removing 1 in 10 of anything.

True that, but the punishment inflicted is the tyrant’s choice after all.
