Maybe not quite the win implied,…. First paragraph of the article…

The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit ruled that machineguns are protected by the Second Amendment, but said a ban on the category of firearms passes Constitutional muster.

soooo,… machine guns are constitutionally protected,… but a ban on them is constitutional as well? :face_with_raised_eyebrow::man_shrugging:

Indeed, it’s not as straightforward as a definitive “win”, but a step in the right direction.

If a ban were enacted, I suspect that it would get challenged and we’ll have to see how either a different appellate court rules and/or it goes to SCOTUS. Hard to say how that would end.
