It would be nice if this passed although I can see it getting diced up and having extra stuff tossed in, making it more difficult to accomplish a simple task.

On a personal note, I would really like to have an SBS without the government needing to know I have one.

And for the record, I DO NOT currently possess an SBS. I do not have components to build one within my possession. Do not look here. Nothing to see.

Move along…

this is what i found on it if uyou care to read it. These bills ([H.R. 2552billr and [S.1224](https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/1224 respectively) would remove a $200 excise tax that is imposed on law-abiding gun owners when they purchase certain firearms and accessories that are governed by the National Firearms Act.

This important legislation, appearing as H.R. 2552 in the House and S.1224 in the Senate, seeks to eliminate the burdensome $200 excise tax currently imposed on firearms regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA).
