As my late father used to say “Cures coughs, colds, and hairy holes.”
He had a way with words.
That was BEFORE the oil embargo of '73.
You don’t need both to do that.
A custom made camouflage smoking jacket.
I missed that one, but also had to turn in ALL of my Organizational Equipment Issue.
All that field gear that is highly coveted for camping, and resale to surplus stores.
Our unit was very strict about that.
Incompetent turn-ins = unable to out process = stuck on a Ground Hog Day scenario, of: “Where’s your equipment? All of it?”
Or, theft charges, or paying for missing items at new replacement prices for stuff that was nearly worn out.
The unit did not miss much turn-in of its organizational equipment at all.
you can get real poncho liners AKA woobie from a lot of places online. my unit all I had to turn in was equipment that was not considered personal equipment. EX. LBE, sleeping bag stuff, wet weather and cold weather gear. poncho liners and uniforms you kept, of course that was in 1994.
You were lucky to keep any of that, they wanted back everything that we signed for at issue.
But, they then reissued that to our replacements unless it was too badly warn, then they got new.
