And, Florida runs a budget surplus, and has one of the lowest overall tax burdens in the US.
And the state works. We have top rated schools (K-12 and higher ed), good roads, police that work, jobs, and on and on…

You’re right, Robert, I was being hyperbolic.
Its true that the Jewish community in NY has traditionally been Democrat. The reading I did indicated that about 75% of Jews in NY voted for Cuomo, meaning maybe a quarter DID vote for Mamdani. That alone is confusing. Even lead Democrst Schumer couldn’t endorse Mamdani.
Edit to add, I don’t think, from what I can tell, that NY jews are concerned about his religion per-say as much as his openly anti-Israel policy remarks and actions, and his support to “globalize the intifada.”
Remember, Islam is more than a religion. It is a civil code that intends to control all aspects of everyone’s lives. Worship of Allah is only a small part of the whole package.
