He started VetsAid after traveling across America and coming across countless veterans who had fallen on hard times. “I just firmly feel that they don’t get enough help after they put themselves in harm’s way,” he says. “And I wanted to make a difference in that. I mean, a homeless veteran drives me nuts. That’s why I decided that this was a place where I could make a difference.”
If we have time. The halls are very, very helpful. There’s no definite curfew. The unions are all in. They don’t go, “Oh man, after midnight it’s going to cost you triple scale.” There’s nothing like that**. A lot of the union guys are vets.**
THIS IS SO KOOL!
The EAGLES are also playing ‘The Sphere’ in Vegaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssss!
Joe said, “There’s 160,000! Speakers in the SPHERE!” Holy SH!T! I HAVE TO GO MAN!.
I don’t like traveling but I can drive to Vegaaaaaaaassssssssssss, I haven’t been there since my 101st Airborne Uncle 's Funeral a coupla years ago. Joe also said “IT doesn’t have to be loud!” Yeah right, I wanna see Metallica @ the Sphere!..I’m sure they’ll turn it down a Bit!

Joe Walsh is a good guy in my book.
He’s a friend of the late great Dan Fogelberg (right, @Wanda3?).
Joe is accomplishing admirable things in the music industry for veterans similar to what Gary Sinise does in Hollywood.

@BeanCounter Yes indeed! Thanks @Don102 for the info. I love when celebs advocate for others, especially veterans.

The forgotten of this nation are the homeless, many of whom are vets (and our citizens, not another nation’s citizens here on our dime). The right and left almost never talk about this (media, governors, candidates), nor do pastors (historically churches cared for the poor). This is an abomination in a country with our resources and wealth. We have all the wealth and resources to get these folks back on their feet and back into the work force. Who is talking about this?

Iv’e had a few conversations with Mr. Walsh both at concerts and on the radio (Amature Radio Operator). He is one of the kindest and most thoughtful entertainers I have met. I would place him up with Keanu Reeves on the selfless giving scale. I worked in broadcasting for 10 years and have met quite a few entertainers and polititions, Mr. Walsh is definately one of my Top 5 people. Its a little overwhelming when conversing with him, as he is on an other level that many aspire to yet rarely achieve. This article does not suprise me at all, and I am a little disapointed that he and his acts of giving and philanthropy do not get more exposure in the media. Love ya Joe! 73’s KG6 J**. :+1:t5:
