How to upload an image or video

I have looked everywhere and can’t find info on how to upload an image or vid to a post. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or just send a private message where I can find the instructions and delete this post if needed so that it doesn’t turn into another political thread. LOL

There is an upload button for posts, not sure if you will be able to upload videos due to their size but images should work. Look for this:

To unload videos the easiest way is to copy the link and paste.

Copy paste of YouTube or X videos generally imbeds them in the post, as for images within a post…..

This button here….

For a video you have to copy and paste a link. For pictures off your device click on the up arrow shown in the pic and it will take you to the picks on your device. If you want to post a pic from the internet copy the link of the page the pic is on.

This started fairly recently for several of us also. I can copy links to images, but can no longer just upload images or gifs.

@Ron43xMOS that one of the hayfield finally loaded but I had to reduce the size. Still haven’t figured out how to embed videos but that may be a youtube thing.

I can only load pics when I am using Firefox. I can’t load pics if I am using Safari.

I had the same issue using DuckDuckGo, I switched to Chrome and no longer have that issue.

@Robert1246 I am using microsoft edge currently. Firefox is a good browser though. I have both on my laptop. Some of my issues could be my security settings too.

I remember once they said to use Firefox so that’s what I use. That’s what the forum recommends.

Are you around this?

Maybe the forum owner/webmaster should put a section for dummies like me to practice stuff like this and keep it away from main topics. Many other forums do that. If any admins want to delete this feel free. I was just unable to find anything in the community help part and it was read only.

Upload and then delete after you find that you are successful

@Karacal OH YES!! I will more than likely be underground around 0200-0300. My hound loves the tornado shelter. Had to get in it three times last year.

Looks like you’re making progress pasting photos, great. Sometimes mine get stuck, thus I use a snap shot software and it works well.

Saw you posted on another thread about recent storms. This past Monday/Tuesday, we had unusually warm weather; A few of my favorite small game hunting and fishing spots got hit by a tornado, two people perished, 20 injured. I fished those days but in a completely different region. Missing the storm.

I forget, Tornadoes tend to occur Spring/Summer, daytime; so March 9 was so unexpectedly early to me.
