Happy Independence Day 2025

As I look forward and prepare to celebrate my adopted country’s 4th of July birthday celebrations, I think back to what drew me to her and the reasons I chose to leave my birth country behind, pledge allegiance to America and give back in appreciation.
I am reminded of the men and women who gave all to protect her values. They may have been put in harm’s way by greedy politicians for profit but they didn’t do it for them. They served to honor the concept of good over evil and a sense of duty.
I will be proudly flying the stars and stripes and celebrating the holiday with my family, munching on hot dogs, drinking beer and enjoying the fireworks. I will enjoy the festivities but I will not forget that they are made possible by those who cashed America’s checks with their lives and their physical and mental wounds.
I salute them and those who will be celebrating with MRE’s on this special occasion.
God Bless America!

Very well spoken, Ryan. I am thankful that you have chosen to become an American and for your virtual friendship.

Likewise, I too thank all the men and women who fought for and have since defended our freedom. To them, I am forever grateful.

Ill be enjoying the 4th with one of my shooting partners. He has major PTSD from Afghanistan. Shooting calms him down and he still wishes he was in Afghanistan.

They both put on a hell of a show. Her birthday is july 3 and his is the 5th. They celebrate both on the 4th. Not quite commercial grade but close.

I also get to rip up his 26 acres on his kawasaki kx60. Way to small but dang its fun

Very well said and it’s great to see someone say Independence Day instead of 4th Of July. Yes, it happens on the fourth day of July but it has, as most of us already know, more significance than that. The Fourth Of Julyers would look at you crazy if, in 5 months, you wished them a Happy 25th Of December.
I had the privilege of being in a local theater and playing McNair in the production of 1776. I actually learned some things about how our independency got started. It was a tough time for a new America, but we prevailed. Some of the tyranny we broke free from has come back from our own government now , especailly infringes on the 2nd Amendment. So be safe, enjoy your cookouts, fireworks, beer, but let us not forget what we celebrate.

I was fortunate to have parents and teachers who had a very strong appreciation for our country, and since I can remember as a little kid, I was almost in awe of the whole concept of independence, freedom, and what it took to write the Declaration of Independence. I had a framed full size parchment copy of it on my wall in my bedroom from when I was probably in 4th grade. I’d tell my friends it was original, and some believed me  I think I had memorized the whole preamble.

Anyway, here’s to Mr. Jefferson, and the best letter of all time. We’re the only country in the world with an honest to God birthday, thanks to him and the rest of the divinely inspired patriots who gave us (and the world) this incredible gift.

Happy Birthday, United States.

Please raise a glass to the guys who made us Free!

And to the ones that keep us that way!

Always remember that only 3% of American Colonists took up arms against the British in the 18th century American Revolution! The rest were busy criticizing and spewing pure nonsense, and they STILL got to enjoy the benefits. Kind’a like the last election…

You don’t need the dead wood or the sheep to make a difference. Don’t look at your friends and neighbors for direction or help, do what YOU KNOW needs to get done to keep this country safe and free…

Lead by example, don’t live by observation.
