One of the martial arts I studied when I was younger was Escrima, a Filipino system. All of the weapons I studied were easily improvised from sticks and such or farm tools. I’ve mentioned I love my Karambits. They are based off of a Cats claw that inspired the farm tool.

When I am at the airport or a place I just can not bring a weapon into. I keep a roll of quarters, a couple of magazines or a newspaper, and a roll of office tape. Can improvise a couple of weapons really quickly that are far more effective than you might think.
