It took a dramatic turn at the end, when the Post Office delivered several bags of letters addressed to Satan at the court room, proving Satan wasn’t just a crazy old man.

Yes. They were called possible bags and they were made of leather. Powder was carried in a horn but they still had to carry shot, flints, patches and other small tools used for loading and maintaining the firearm.
