@Todd30 BACKUP.
I’m with you on that, but “gun” can be appropriate for some light and heavy arms. I’ve always believed the insistence on using the term “rifle” is to promote a respect for the personal weapon (just an opinion of course). I prefer weapon, rifle. I carry a handgun and have shotguns, but I also have rifles.
I also don’t put clips in my weapons instead of magazines. Magazines don’t fly out with a “PING!” after last round fired.
I love love Full Metal Jacket. My Opa who was retired Tech Sergeant USAF Vietnam vet ![]()
said that was the closest movie to he seen in regard to training but combat he would not talk about it sadly my oma was not ever able to recieve full benifets due to his file was blacked out (blackops). His service file was i mean solid black
This is the grandpa who taught me everything about guns.
He once told me in Barksdale AFB after we got out when sirens came on everybody had to get out by military law for national anthem ill never forget that being a sentimental moment but his eyes teared up said “I lost my bestfriend he was shot in head right next to me” “THAT WAS A D**M GOOD SOILDER AND SAID HE DIDINT KNOW WHY GOD SPARED HIM” I said for me
Gosh im tearing up but anyways great moment
So I guess that ends the .45 / 9mm argument?
