We’ve got three celebrations to attend
-a BBQ at my F-I-L assisted living residence on Saturday
-a small gathering at my B-I-L organized by my nephew tonight
-Take flowers to the cemetery on Friday for fathers passed.
-Whatever I want to do and I don’t know what that is yet, on Sunday

Wasn’t Father’s Day last Sunday? 
Went out hiking for the fourth time that week. 21 miles in the Monongahela. As some of you know I lost my son 3 years ago, 22 a day. Dads been gone about 4, and I seem to find the woods is good for my soul, especially during holidays as my circle of friends/family is worldwide and totals 5 people lol. Wife, sister in FL, Barry54 in TN, buddy in Malaysia currently and the guy I’m getting to. Nice thing was hearing my phone ping, and getting a text from a guy I took under my wing when his family moved into my former neighborhood. He’s said I’m the father he never had, was checking in with and up on me, and that was nice.
My guess is it went to thread purgatory and by the time it got the approval stamp, it’s too late.
So sorry for your loss, no way I can imagine how it still affects you to this day.
I also prefer the woods, nature in general, over neon lights.
I was so excited for the Juneteenth three-day weekend, it wasn’t on my radar. My dad passed 13 years ago so there’s really nothing to remind me of Father’s Day, I didn’t think of and plan for it. Family just had dinner and watched futbol at a Mexican restaurant.
Had 2 life changing dreams, my dad coming for my son, 2 weeks later my son letting me know he’s going to be there for me. I forgot it was his birthday the year after and believe I had a visit. I was watching concert footage, laptop and headphones on, felt warm and a feeling like he was beside me approving of my choice of bands. The wall and couch lit up, I actually got up thinking my wife was behind me and had turned the lamp on. Nobody there. Next morning wife says “xxxxxx would have been xx yesterday.”. Last year and a half or so, nothing, but happy with what I experienced and believe there’s a continuing journey we are going to experience.
I’m not into giving much meaning to dreams but I had three similar dreams involving the closest people to me who have passed—first my younger brother, then my aunt who raised me, then my dad. I was grieving for at least I would say five years as if they died only a month ago. In those dreams, I got to hug them one last time, then I woke up like a heavy burden has been lifted off me.
I had the day off of work, first in many years. I smoked hotdogs and watched baseball at home. Chillin’ like a villain! 
You must have strong lungs. I could never keep them lit.
Finding papers to roll them was the hardest problem! 
What can I say? I am, apparently, “time-challenged.”
