Everyone one is recommending This Gun Cleaning Kit…

Plus, call me paranoid, but these online retailers learn a ton about us by what we buy, sesrch, spend, where we live, etc. While Amazon is a huge corporate powerhouse with tentacles everywhere, I’m still more comfortable with an American based company having all that knowledge about us all than a Chinese one.

I avoid anything from China as much as I possibly can.

using AI as a shopping assistant not only saves time but also helps prevent impulsive or regretful purchases. Another effective approach is to always ask AI for pros, cons, and alternatives before finalizing any product this often highlights better options or hidden drawbacks that may not be obvious at first glance.

More naive than paranoid. If it’s electronic media you can just about bet China already has it.

The ship has long left the dock. Do a search on yourself…

Have found stuff from china can have some issues and I now avoid such whenever possible…

No, I’ll disagree on that one. I’m not naive. I understand digital data collection and privacy a bit, and take every reasonable precaution. I know it can’t be stopped, but it can be slowed, and somewhat managed.

I do it all the time as part of my digital privacy management. The major search engines don’t return any results on me.

These days a lot of personal information is already out there online. I guess it is more about limiting what we can now rather than expecting complete privacy.

And honestly, most things these days do not last forever anyway, so it is just about picking what works best for your use :+1:

Like us. Some may get more mileage, and others, less so. I plan on living forever… I thought there was a thing called the “afterlife”, after one dies.

Haha fair point :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I guess we all try to get as much “mileage” as we can while we are here. Let’s make the most of it!

Haha Dave took that to a whole different level :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: but he has a point in his own way. I think both views connect, things may not last forever here, so it makes sense to focus on what works best for us while we are here and make the most of it.

I got some advice that made me think. The cleaning kits are a good starting point though you will find you gravitate towards only certain tools and others will just sit hence but you want to build specifically to your fire arm and what you like within your budget and how much time are you really willing to spend on cleaning and maintaining your fire arm. I know one person that sets aside 1 day a month just for that and does it all day and another that sets 15 minutes or less. I was told that if you spend any amount of money it’s best to spend it on a good solvent and oil. You can always pick up all the brushes and picks and other items for cheap but don’t skimp on the actual cleaners. Some items I found that you can get at harbor freight for cheap also in addition to Amazon.

I do not agree about FB. There are still good and trusted sellers there if you check properly.
