While back I watched a short vid of drones getting shot down by Ukraine troops. They were (IIRC) using 12Ga.
Perhaps, they might advantage from using an 8Ga?
I would of more advantage if it were belt fed, rather than single shot. Hint Hint

Buck, in an AR platform?
I may not be that good a wingshooter any more…
I shot one down while buzzing my deer stand a couple of years ago. Then the mother of a young punk down the road threatened to sue me and I asked her what makes you think that i had anything to do with it? She blinked at me for about 10 seconds and left the drive to my hunting property. Never heard from them again.
How much for the tracer loads?
Had a drone wreck into the window of my condo. I picked up the pieces and took it to the security guards, they called the police. When the cops got there they pretty much said they could fly around and and video through your windows, and, gave the drone wreckage back to me. A bit later I walked in and the security guard said the owner of the drone wanted it back, it was a large banking company, or I’d have to pay them $2,500.00 for the drone. My response “Send them to my condo and when they get done explaining why they have videos of women and children getting dressed on the SD card I’ll give it back to the police…” Not another word was said. Full disclosure, I never opened the SD card so I have no idea what they were videoing.
$5/ shot and they’re sold out!
A few years ago, a Kentucky Gentleman shot gunned a drone over his backyard which was videoing his daughter and her friends. The Gentleman was taken to Court. To Kentucky’s credit, the Court found in favor of the Gentleman!
Finally, one for the good guys!
I’ve found 5.56 tracer for far less than $5/round!
Haven’t looked recently though.
$.70/round
