Don’t get me started, I went to a place called Donut Bistro, home of the 2lb Apple Fritter, 1lb of it has to be butter!

Leave the porch light on Bruh, I’ll be right there!

If I ever decide to ā€˜Opt out!’ it will not be by the gun

(But a two pound Butter filled FRITTER) is to die SMILIN’!

TARGET ACQUIRED!

Agree. I’m nearly always armed (wife makes me unholster for bed), for the same reason I have a life insurance policy. Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. My family matters.

But then again, Mass Transit is probably one of the best places I know of to meet and greet Nutso Cases…

Are they ā€œtarget richā€ GFZ’s in SLC?

No, UTA isn’t a specific GFZ. I don’t ride it any more but when I did I was ready ;>)

Seems like Mormons are a target?

Well, the OP doesn’t appear to have returned to our forum since he started this thread.

Anyway, if he or anyone is still watching and keeping track, yes, I EDC, non stop, from the moment I get dressed in the morning til I get in bed at night. When I get home from work I’ll lose my keys, wallet, phone, pen, earbud, and all the other crap I burden myself with throughout the day, but my carry gun stays on me.

When I’m not directly carrying between getting in the bed to getting up, there is a well equipped HD rifle at my head, better than any carry handgun.

I will never be unprepared.

Carry on.

Thought about that until more details came out.

Police do not believe the shooting was random or motivated by animus against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known widely as the Mormon church.

It was gang-related.

The Elders Quorum descended onto the bus? Missionaries?

Authorities say they do not know whether the shooting was gang-related and that they are having trouble getting witnesses to cooperate.

Reading between the lines

Original poster still here. Thank you to all who responded to my thread. As I’ve stated before, I carry concealed regularly, hit the range once or twice a week, take care of my firearm, and subscribe to the idea that it is better to have and not need; I also believe if you are looking for trouble you’ll always find it. There’s a difference between ā€œhead on a swivelā€ and situational awareness. I will practice the latter.

We all have our reasons, I’m all for those that have rational reasons and train to be ready. You Sir seem to be one of those guys. I might recommend, to newer EDC’ers to find some advanced training facilities, the kind where you can train, live fire, in and around cars, over under and through opening, target selection, load/reload/jamb… Not only is it fun it puts a few more tools in your tool box.

I concur Blood Brother, If I want

Live Fire I am blessed I don’t even have to pay for it. I just go to Downtown Albuturkey and I get all the ā€˜Target Selection’ I want! (I’m ALMOST) not kidding.

As for Mister @Robert1758 ā€˜s statement ā€˜Head on a swivel’ and Situational Awareness go together like peanut Butter N Jelly. There’s NO Negative connotations practicing Head on a swivel that IS Situational Awareness, If your not looking around, Observing your conditions around you you could find yourself in the sh!t.
