Can't wait to hear the spin on this one

Wisconsin high school resource officer shoots armed student who wouldn’t ‘hand over the gun,’ report says

well nothing good is going to come of that one. :unamused:
Student gets shot, Officer may have done the right thing but will have lost the trust of other students and parents, the guns (both the student’s and the officers) will get the blame.

I don’t see this going well at all.

At least the kid is not dead and the officer wasn’t forced to kill someone. :slightly_frowning_face:

im sure it will be portayed in MSM as the resource officer reacting with too much force etc… they cant win, if they take no action they are damned and when they take action they are damned

The resource officer is not the shooter. A regular Waukesha LEO fired the shot disabling the perp. He’s a hero in my book.

Sower, where did you find that at? I’d like to read more about what occurred.

It occurred in Waukesha, WI. The Waukesha paper, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, local TV (Fox 6, WTMJ, etc)

Thanks Sower. I found it. It looks like the district’s plan and training along with a quick response from the PD saved the day. I couldn’t post the link but anyone wanting to read the details should google FOX 6, WTMJ for the story.

Update: Found a story I could post.

We started talking about this yesterday in another thread.

This happened less than 10 minutes from my house. Waukesha North also went on lockdown for another gun threat. North is just 3 minutes from my house. It wasn’t a good day in Waukesha yesterday.

The title of the article is very misleading. If you read the article, you’ll find:

Eventually, he said the student removed the handgun from his waistband and pointed it at officers.

The student pointed a gun at the officers and wouldn’t comply with officers’ demands to turn it over… If someone pointed a gun at me, I’d probably defend myself too. And a student in a full high school with a loaded gun who isn’t willing to turn it over is a threat to every person in the area.

Governor Evers and his Leftists cronies are already trying to use this tragedy to push their so-called “Common sense” gun control laws.
You can bet he will once again try calling a special session to push them through!
All Wisconsin gun owners who are reading this need to contact your elected officials and let them know, in a calm and even manner, that although this tragedy occured no law past ,present or future would have prevented this!
Get the word out!

This is exactly what happened to Virginia this year. Special session called and asked for all the “common sense” laws that the governor (who called the session) admitted would have not have stopped the mass shooting.

Fast forward a few months and now we’re on the verge of becoming California East.

I feel for freedom loving Virginians. It is going to take a fight, but freedom is worth fighting for.
