I’m not a Hunter, (of animals) but vicious wild hogs sound like that hunt would be a twofer. Hunt/Food. Saw a couple of vid’s on u-tub w/ night scopes…interesting.

I don’t know about 600# but I know I’ve seen them in the 400# range. I had a sow, probably 250#ish, with wieners walk out into the road and face off with my pick up while the piglets crossed. She was snorting and blowing snot, I didn’t get out and argue with her.

Average for a mature boar is around 4 - 500. I have seen a few in the 1K range and 1 behemoth that tipped the scale at 1500.
I have never hunted wild hogs (Really, never. Not ever - yeah right) but from what I understand, wild hogs here in Texas are in season all year as long as you have a current license for anything dated for the year you are hunting them. There is no limit. If you license is for 2024, but is a couple months out of date, you can still shoot wild hogs in 2024.

Dag-gone-it! I was offered to go to the Generals Ranch in Texas to hunt Boar or Pig
I don’t remember Deer, Antelope etc. I’ve never had the desire to gun down
somebody-Something that wasn’t gunning for me.
But these Pig(s)? or Boars sound like a real challenge. They would eat you whole if you lost to them amirite?
