I certainly wouldn’t have done anything while this guy was on my front porch but he sure as hell wouldn’t have made it that far into my house…

Room temp as soon as he entered the rear slider. Either by me or my wife……but its California. Can I assume alot fewer gun owners and more sheep thinking 911 is the best choice at all times.

My wife and I discussed this same video. When I’m home, I’m armed 100% of the time. She used to be more relaxed about it, but not anymore. Now she is, too.

At the one minute mark, homeowner’s still saying, “leave my house.”
Too late. I would’ve been on the phone within 15 seconds and giving the dispatcher the magic words to expedite arrival of cops, “I have a gun.”
Remember, this is California where every effort should be made to protect the thugs.

What we know, the homeowner’s wife was with their five-year old child, and he “had just left the home minutes before.”
authorities added a charge of annoying or molesting a child
Authorities would not say if Nichols was in fact targeting any child related to the homeowner. They did say Nichols lives behind the family’s home, though a motive has not been determined.
Still unsure which child. Weird, seems like homeowner didn’t know Nichols.
Not in this case as homeowner had to come back to the house—sad, all he could find was a shovel. As a gun owner, I probably would have my gun at the ready as I entered the house, main objective to ensure family’s safe because when seconds matter

Didn’t “have” a gun on him but convinced the intruders he was getting one and the perps ran away. I’m not sure I’d want a group of home invaders to think I had a gun and didn’t and have them pull out a gun …
